This week Room 3 literacy Read a Novel study Called: “Dawn Raids” by Pauline Vaeluaga. here is a 39 second video of us recreates a part in the book. My group and I chose the dart incident to retell and that scene involve Tavita, Ethan and Archie. In my group I had Zohaidah, Olive, Alepina and me. The Unexpected Visiter
I was watching favourite show for hours and I was so interesting I also had to tv really loud so I couldn’t hear anything but I kept hear 3 knocks on the door every 5 minutes so I turned the volume down but then I heard it again, I knew it wasn’t my parents because they had just left. I didn’t know what to do but then I remembered my mom saying “never open doors for strangers, it’s very dangerous” but they kept knocking so I checked who it was.
When I checked who it was it was no one but I couldn’t believe it because I knew I heard a knock so I opened the door and started looking around and someone came running in “Hey! who are you and why are you in my house” after they came in I closed and locked the door. I saw them drinking tea in my living room, I asked “who are you” and they said” Im your dad’s friend and I just want to play with you”. I got scared after they said “I want to play with you” so I ran up the stairs, locked the door so they couldn’t come in and started on making a plan to get them arrested for Trespassing and intruding.
The first thing that I thought was great was calling my parents and telling them but while they come rushing home I stall the person that is in my house. After I said that, that would be my plan because I didn’t have much time. After I figured that out I went downstairs and started playing these creepy games with them. While I was playing the games my phone started ringing so I checked who it was and it was my parents, but I couldn’t tell the person it was my parents so I told them I needed to go to the bathroom. While I was there they said that they were 5 minutes away so I just needed to stall them a little bit more.
while I was playing their creepy game my parents came home and they came with the cops.
After they got arrested I never wanted to stay home alone at night ever again.

SCRIPT:
I was honestly really nervous about living in a new house because my old one was at the adoption center and it was really bad so I didn’t know what to expect. I thought he might judge me because of my leg just like the other place did. I don’t think he liked me because he threw me onto the floor and treated me like rubbish. I felt sad and hurt when he did that but I’ve learnt to always give anyone or anything a second chance because you never know, they might change.
After a little bit I have started to warm up to him and I think he has too because when he finished playing his video games we went outside and started playing fetch. After we came back from playing he would not leave me alone. He wanted to pet me, hug me and squish me because I was too cute. He also made me dinner that night and slept with me in his bed. I really loved him too because I feel like that is how to show that you love them. Even in the morning he didn’t even look at his video games, he just wanted to play with me and I was really happy because I knew he would love me.
