Speech

Last week I said a speech to my literacy class. My speech was about discrimination. I started writing this in week 6 and presented it in week 8. the way we did it was everyone’s names on the wheel of names and whoever’s name it lands on is the person that goes up to present their own speech. days before speeches, we watched some videos of other people doing speeches and how they did so we can have ideas of how we can deliver it. everyone that does their speech gets a rubric of how they went and a score of how good they went. It was out of 24 and I got 22 so I was really proud of myself.

Dawn Raids – Play

Task Description: Heyyyyy Everyone I bet y’all missed me. This week and last week we have been Rehearsing and part In a Dawn Raids book to present to out literacy class. In my group I had Lina, Chevelle and me but since Chevelle wasn’t here and we needed 2 people I took some people to help my group out. in the video you will see me, Zohaidah, Lina and Olive. The person who wrote the book was Pauline (Vaeluaga) Smith. The part we did was when Tavita got hanged by his brother Ethan and his mom and vomited on and also fainted.

WALT: Understand  and reflect on the main events, emotions, and cultural experiences of a character.

1 Dawn Raids – 20th – 3rd July

This week Room 3 Literacy is learning about a book called Dawn Raids by Pauline Vaeluaga and we had to do a task about that. For this task we had to some comprehension questions, Explain a quarter he chose and then Choose a part from the book to recreate on Google Vids.

Dawn Raids – Novel Study

This week Room 3 literacy Read a Novel study Called: “Dawn Raids” by Pauline Vaeluaga. here is a 39 second video of us recreates a part in the book. My group and I chose the dart incident to retell and that scene involve Tavita, Ethan and Archie. In my group I had Zohaidah, Olive, Alepina and me. Zohaidah Played Archie, Alepina played was an extra character (Mum) and Olive played Tavita. I hope you like it Remember to always have a better day than I do.

 

This Morning…

This morning I woke up to the sound of my sister getting out of bed,  but I was really cold so I stayed in bed for 5 more minutes until my mum came into my room and said “ it’s time to wake up for school” so I got up and started to get changed into my school uniform. 

 

Then after that I started to go downstairs and packed my lunch for school. After that I went to go do my hair done in a slick back ponytail. When I finished doing my hair my mum finished making breakfast and for breakfast I had spicy noodles with scrambled egg. 

 

After that, I went upstairs to brush my teeth and and put sunscreen on. When I finished doing all of those thing that I do everyday on school mornings I went down stairs, put on my socks and shoes the my dad drove me to school.
