Converting Units: Length, Mass & Volume

We are learning how to measure and convert between metric units for length, mass, and volume.  This week, we explored how to change millimetres to metres, grams to kilograms, and millilitres to litres. We used place value knowledge to move the decimal point and solve real-world problems. Something I found interesting was the way you convert for example (2.5 m = 250 cm). I enjoyed marking my work to see if it correct or not. I did well at converting.

Number mastery challenge

Task Description:  This week we have been learning to understand  and use number patterns and operations. for part 1 of the activity we learned about prime and composite number. part 2 we learned about square numbers. part 3 we learned about multiplying by 10, 100, and 1000. part 4 we learned about adding with/ without regrouping. Analysing Data: Mean, Median, Mode & Range

Task Description:

We are learning to find and interpret the mean, median, mode, and range of a dataset.

Using a set of slides, we explored definitions, worked through examples, and practised calculating these values with different datasets. We also discussed how these statistical measures help us understand data patterns and make informed decisions. To apply our learning, we completed practice questions and solved real-world problems.

Measurement Task

Task Description: Today I finished my measurement task. For this task I had to measure some things and weigh some things too. after those slides I had to use my imagination  and think how much that weighs then measure  how much it actually weighs or how much the width, centimeters milemeters, meters, Kg, grams, liters  and tonnes.
